Our Programs
We are thrilled to facilitate a number of local programs, including weekly community game nights, outdoor recreation opportunities for families, and entertainment events focused on supporting local businesses. In addition to our regularly scheduled programs, we also plan and host a number of event series that help us further our mission. Additional details on our program and event series can be found below, and event dates can be found under our “Schedule” page in the navigation bar.
Why We Do It
Our programs help us further our mission by providing entertainment and recreation opportunities to the local community. We’re so passionate about this mission because we acknowledge the ways that seemingly simple entertainment can improve quality of life, promote the development of social bonds and supportive community, and even stimulate the local economy. The best part? All you have to do is show up and have fun!
Regularly Scheduled Community Programs
-

TTRPG Tables
A coalition of tabletop role playing groups, our TTRPG Tables aid players and game masters by helping them gain access to safe and consistent meeting spaces, expanded game rulesets, game management resources, and more! We also help our T-TRPG tables find new tables, or to start ones of their own! Our newsletters help keep the community up to date with upcoming opportunities, but keep an eye out for our quarterly gatherings as well.
-

Gaming Groups
Entirely open to the public and free to join, our Gaming Groups program provides community members with an accepting, neutral space where anyone can come and bond over the joys of gaming. Attendees are invited to utilize our Inventory of Games or bring their own favorites to share! We now meet at our local game store, Storming Good Games, and play anything from Uno, Chess, Catan, Warhammer, and pretty much anything we can get our hands on.
-

Magic the Gathering Nights
We join our partners at Storming Good Games for their weekly Friday Night Magic! The local Magic the Gathering community enjoys many formats, but those most common to the playgroup include Commander, Casual 60-Card, Modern, and Legacy. Attendees are encouraged to bring decks of any formats, however, and The Putnam County Gaming Initiative also has decks for attendees to borrow. Keep an eye on Storming Good’s pages for special events!
Other Events
We host a number of events in addition to our regular programs. These events are primarily aimed at supporting local businesses, creating recreation opportunities, and raising funds for our programs.
Our events don’t meet on the same regular schedule that some of our other programs do, but generally operate on a monthly basis. Upcoming events can be found on our “Schedule” page, or you can sign up for our mailing lists to be the first to know about upcoming special events.
Dinner to Die For
Dinners to Die For is a fundraising series that utilizes Mystery Dinner events to support local businesses and highlight Putnam County amenities. Each event features a different community partner, theme, and ticket price. Tickets are limited, and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sales typically include access for one participant per ticket and food offerings may be included or sold separately, depending on the event. Having trouble getting tickets in time? Sign up for our mailing lists to be the first to know!
You can find upcoming dinners, and additional details, here.
Local Trivia Nights
Our Trivia Nights feature 6 round of questions, all locally written and facilitated, for local community members or visitors to test the wits while helping to provide business to local restaurants. Everything you need to join is provided for you and entry with your team is free, all you have to do is show up!
There is no limit on team size, but our facilitators may ask especially large groups to break into sections if we feel it lends an unfair advantage. Otherwise, it is all about fun and growing your knowledge!
