Murder Mystery Fundraisers
“Dinners to Die For” is a fundraising program that aims to provide the community with local recreational opportunities, strengthen community connections, and support local businesses - all while raising funds for our other Role-Playing programs!
Each dinner is a ticketed event that you can sign up for by following the instructions below. Attendees should anticipate roughly 3 hours of dinner, games, and intrigue. Food is available at each event. Each mystery dinner will have its own theme, and guests are welcome to dress for the theme if desired. Characters are usually assigned upon arrival to help ensure that everyone has the best time possible. Character and meal ticket price may vary by event. “At the party, a big crowd gathers around the grill. Everyone wants something special cooked just for them. The Grillmeister gets more and more irritated, then finally snaps, throws down the spatula and heads into the air-conditioned house to cool off. The party goes on.
Suddenly, there is an alarm. Someone has found the Grillmeister dead—with a skewer in his heart. Only the hosts and guests have been in the house. One of them, maybe YOU, committed the ghastly crime—but WHO?”
Join us for a sizzling summer whodunit where the grill isn’t the only thing heating up. Guests will gather for BBQ favorites, twisty clues, suspicious characters, and a mystery thick enough to cut with a carving knife. This special Dinner to Die For with Greencastle Parks is open for anyone young adult and older. Whether you are joining us as Murder Mystery connoisseurs, first timers, or to treat your favorite Dads to a BBQ celebration, you can expect plenty of goofy intrigue, sleuthing, and a BBQ meal included with your ticket price.
Guests are also welcome to come watch as their friends and loved ones navigate the murderous haze of the grill and even grab meal tickets of their own! A meal is included with each ticket, but meal tickets are available for any interested parties to partake in the BBQ goodness while enjoying the atmosphere. This meal ticket doesn’t include participation for the Murder Mystery itself, but allows anyone to grab some of our delicious BBQ lunch from our caterer while hanging out, enjoying the weather, and watching the mystery unfold.
